Revolutionize Your Smile, Subtly, With Invisalign In Tustin, CA!
Unlock The Secrets Of Invisalign In Tustin, CA
Invisalign, Tustin, California
Have you ever wanted to straighten your teeth without dealing with a silver smile from dental braces? Then Invisalign is the orthodontic treatment for you! Metal and even ceramic ("clear") braces can be plain to see for onlookers, but Invisalign can hardly be detected, even from up close! This series of clear aligners blends with your teeth while gently and comfortably bringing your teeth into their proper alignment.
While many imitators have cropped up in cosmetic dentistry over the years, Invisalign is the original and the best as far as invisible braces go. Like traditional and clear braces, Invisalign can correct: crowded and crooked teeth, gaps between teeth, over and underbite, crossbite, and open bite. If you want to invisibly improve the look and feel of your smile, then preserve your confidence—and your clear smile—with clear aligners. You'll be astounded by your Invisalign before and after results! Give our Tustin dental office a call at (714) 795-3865, and we can discuss how to get you started on these clear braces.
Benefits of Invisalign
There are more advantages than just aesthetic appeal
Invisalign is most known for its sleek and subtle appearance, but did you know that it offers a whole host of other benefits?
Here are some of the secret advantages of Invisalign treatment at our Tustin dental office:
- Beautiful, straight smile: Invisalign perfects your smile and bite, so you never have to worry about hiding your smile again. Most of our patients experience improved confidence and self-esteem from loving their new smile.
- Better dental health: Straight teeth can make it easier to take care of your teeth when flossing and brushing, making it easier to stop cavities and decay in their tracks.
- Clearer speech: Invisalign helps improve their vocal abilities and correct unwanted speech problems like lisps.
- Comfortable: By using plastic aligners rather than metal and brackets, Invisalign treatment is much more comfortable than braces. Many patients don't even notice when they're wearing theirs!
- Removable: Unlike braces, clear aligners are completely removable, and they don't need to be worn 24/7. With only 22 hours of daily treatment for full effectiveness, you can take out your Invisalign while eating and brushing your teeth.
- No dietary restrictions: Taking out your aligner trays during meals means you don't have to worry about breaking your orthodontic appliance with the foods you eat. Feel free to eat to your heart's content!
- Beautiful smile: Best of all, Invisalign allows you to achieve handsome, straight teeth you can be proud of quickly and painlessly.
Invisalign vs Braces
The classic dilemma explored
At Gold Coast Dental Tustin, we want to ensure each of our patients is never unsatisfied with the dental treatment they use. When choosing the best orthodontic treatment, you may be torn between Invisalign and traditional braces to straighten your teeth. Here's how they stack up against each other. The way that each treatment works is drastically different, changing the experience for our patients depending on which appliance they choose. Traditional braces use brackets cemented to the front of your teeth and wire threaded through those brackets. By tightening the wire at every visit to our Tustin office, we can apply constant pressure to your teeth and gradually move them into place. There is no removing your braces when eating or
brushing your teeth, meaning great care and attention has to be made to your diet and hygiene habits. Eating the wrong thing can bend your wire or even pop a bracket right off! Invisalign, on the other hand, is comprised of a series of clear, removable trays formed from flexible plastic that we tailor to your smile, meaning they slide right on with no problem. By switching trays every couple of weeks, we can gradually push your teeth into alignment. Invisalign treatment tends to work a bit faster than braces, however, cutting down the time by up to 6 months depending on the severity of your misalignment. Invisalign has the benefit of being easily removable.
Your trays only need to be worn 22 hours each day, making meals and your daily hygiene routine a breeze. However, if your child needs treatment, ceramic braces can be a great compromise between clear aligners and metal braces. Ceramic braces use ceramic brackets rather than metal ones, allowing them to blend in easily with the rest of your smile. They're also impossible to lose, which is one setback children often have with removable appliances, including their retainer post-treatment. Want some help choosing your treatment? No problem! We can give you our professional recommendation with an orthodontic consultation. Give our Tustin dental office a call at (714) 795-3865 to schedule yours today.

How do you use clear aligners?
Using Invisalign clear aligners is extremely simple. Our Tustin orthodontists will create your custom made trays using impressions we take of your mouth. All you need to do is wear the aligner trays at least 22 hours each day, making sure to take them out for meals and your regular dental hygiene routine. Every 2 weeks, you will switch out your current tray for the next in the series to gradually and painlessly shift your teeth into alignment.
How much does it cost for Invisalign?
While Invisalign and braces cost about the same, your exact Invisalign cost depends on the length of your treatment. As we will need to create a brand new set of aligner trays for every 2 weeks of treatment, your cost will be greater the longer your procedure is. The total length of your treatment can be determined with a comprehensive exam and consultation with our Gold Coast Dental orthodontists. If you have any questions or concerns about the cost of your treatment, please give us a call at (714) 795-3865 to book an appointment to discuss our Tustin office's financial options.
What happens after clear aligner treatment?
After finishing your Invisalign treatment, you won't be completely done with your orthodontic journey. Your teeth may be perfectly straight and healthy now, but they won't always want to stay that way. By moving your teeth around, your alignment will be somewhat malleable. Your orthodontist will ask you to wear a retainer for a few months to over a year to ensure you don't lose any of the incredible progress your smile has made.
How long do you have to wear Invisalign?
Invisalign is often faster than traditional braces, and most patients wear their clear aligners for 12 to 18 months. Patients with more minor alignment problems can expect a faster treatment time. Throughout your treatment, we advise that you wear your aligners for at least 22 hours each day. Try to stay as close to 24/7 as you can, as your teeth will naturally want to shift back into their original positions when you remove your Invisalign. The more consistently you wear your aligners, the faster your teeth will be aligned!
Who is not eligible for Invisalign?
You may not be a good candidate for Invisalign if you have cavities or gum disease, which will need to be treated before you can begin straightening your teeth. If you have extensive alignment issues, we may recommend that you receive traditional braces treatment instead. On the other end of the spectrum, if you only have one or two teeth you want corrected, we may suggest that you get cosmetic dental veneers instead.
How do I take care of my aligners?
When taking care of your aligners, never eat or drink anything other than water with your aligners in and rinse your aligners with water after every meal before putting them back in. Plaque can build up on your trays and accelerate the tooth decay process by having your teeth sit in bacteria for hours. Be sure to clean your aligners by brushing them with a soft toothbrush and clear antibacterial soap. Be gentle and don't use toothpaste to prevent any scratches or damage to your trays.
